And as for the Gilera Nexus - thats a whole new category again

If you are into insane scooter looks, if I was you I would wait until the new Italjet Dragster comes out later this year

Surely that's a reason it is better. Choose your own ignition map.. and someone must make a programme that you can adjust all your fueling with. They make them for T595s, so knocking one up for a vesper shouldn't be too hard. You'd never need to pay for dyno time again..

I've ridden one of those. Back to back with a T max. T max is MUCH better. Far more comfy. But neither a whole lot of use in town. Too long. And for the money, a motorbike (for me) is a better bet. But I've already got one of those, and I'm not going to be using that for going to work, or two up.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

You're right they are like a motorbike. I looked at the 650 Burgman but at $16K you are in serious motorbike country. Thats why I like the look of the Runner - slightly bigger engine but retains the scooter profile. My ideal scooter is my current one (PGO T-Rex 150) but with a bigger motor so that it can handle the odd motorway section or two i.e the Runner would be ideal. Still I would have to ride it to be sure - just dreaming really at this stage.
