Summer still got a late chance?

I have just been out and checked the temp, 32 degrees C and climbing but the North East wind has just come up so hopefully things will start to cool down a bit.

Terrific day here today, maybe summer hasn't deserted us completely after all! What's it like where you are? John.

It is warm and humid here, we have had a shower of rain recently, hoped it would cool things down, but no......just made it more muggy, fans are going hard out and the temp sits around 25 in the kitchen.........I LOVE SUMMER!

Bloody hot, John, that's what it's like here! Had over 30 yesterday and it was as hot as hell in Palmerston North today, and the same at home. Can't find a cool place anywhere and the pond is looking mighty inviting, even with the mud and eels!

And at last - cicadas! So yes, summer must have arrived - at last!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Hot enough to make me wish it were winter today.

Guess which dumbass forgot to take the liners out of his gear this morning?

I was a bit quick off the mark yesterday with this thread, the weather has gone to shit today, big time!

One good thing today was we stopped in at MacDonald's in Oamaru for a quick coffee before heading back home up the Valley.

Sitting there was a lone venture biker (venture bike parked in car-park was a give away) so I said g'day. (as you do)

The poor guy had followed the cold front and rain all the way up from Invercargill and it looked like he was going to be with it all the way to Christchurch!

    Comes the good bit!

I asked him if he knew about KiwiBiker?

Turns out he did and was a member under the user name of "upshift" from Wellington area!

We had a good old yarn about where he had been and where he was heading and then said our good byes.

I think Kiwi Biker is the best thing I have ever been a member of, I have met a lot of nice and interesting people (bikers of course) since I have been a member of this forum.

Clubs like Ulysses etc are OK but with KB I can be in touch with so many other members, even from right here in my house and the membership of KB is so diverse and covers the whole age spectrum too, not just another lot of old codgers etc.

We had a good yarn, said our good byes, he rode off up North toward Christchurch and we drove on up the valley towards home as the front ambled off to the north staying close to upshift.

Thank you, Kiwi Biker, I am proud to be a member of this forum! Cheers John.
