Thanks for the big welcome
just to clarify, when i say i'm giving up on cars, i mean i'm giving up on doing up fun cars (i have an ae86 trueno) and going for bikes instead
i've still got my wee daily driver honda for getting the shopping haha![]()
Welcome YAKKY me old mate good luck finding the right bike don't rush into it take your time and choose the machine that's right for you then go terrorise New Zealands road users!!!!
NEVER LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD STORY!
o.k so i have been looking around a fair bit, and i'm definately leaning towards a VTR 250, any thoughts? are they good, bad or otherwise?
VTR250's are the business. Not the fastest thing in the world but a good solid, learners bike that will put a smile on your face and has the ability to scare you if you're not careful.
Engine is a sweet v-twin and it's a Honda so very reliable (some will say boring but I prefer riding to fixing)
Perhaps send a PM to McJim he has had a VTR longer than me and can give you some better advice... not sure if he is back from his hols in the deepest, darkest parts of NZ yet though![]()
