    I just bought one.

Greetings from Queensland Gold Coast Australia.

Hey all my name is Peter, i was doing a search under Vmoto and came across this site.
So i'd thought i'd join and say hi.
I am new to the bike/scooter scene.
I sold my Supercharged 4AGZE corolla , and a bought a scooter to get to the train. i havnt ridden a bike for a while so i thought id start at the bottom LOL.

Scooter : Vmoto Monza 49.cc 06 model Stealth in colour (matt Black)

Mods : $1200, worth, Giannelli exhaust , variator kit, etc

Top speed depending on weight 105klm, i am 76kg

It has no problems doing 80klm all day long.

Low profile tyres , red rims.

It was cheap second hand and had done 4700k's. when i got it.

I know some people say they have a bad name (chinese scooters)Vmoto etc, but i am happy with it and everything seems in order, so really thats all that matters.

I understand, Mr Wop, that the world record for a 50cc is circa 160kph.

However in this case it is most probably the usual scooter speedo optimism

Unless the numbers are transposed, and it does 76kph with a 105kg rider on it...

100+km/h is not seen on many 50cc scooters. Reason - restrictive parts (eg, 15mm carb, 10mm peashooter.) I'd imagine $400 worth of performance parts will fix that. BTW. If your scooter is 90+ capable do NOT use the standard wheel size lol ... scooter wheels are too thin to support those speeds.
I know this from pushing my current hyosung down a very long very straight very steep hill... The speedo is 0-70 with a perfect half circle. the needle was pointing straight down... (ie, i was doing 105)... prolly the first time in my life i felt like shitting myself - scoot was far 2 wobbly at that speed..

Infact when my new mini chopper comes up i will be looking to achieve 100km/h on flat ground with a couple things on my shopping list...

    denso iridium plug iwf22
    performance ignition coil
    walbro 22mm carb
15 tooth drive sprocket (14T stock)
39 or 40 tooth wheel sprocket (38T stock)
some sort of custom cdi unit with ignition timing variables & presets

My sister has a vmoto and rides it everywhere in Wellington, she loves it and has not had any problems with it. Every second scooter here in Palmie seems to be a Vmoto - they must be doing something right ( as opposed to the Aussie cricket team - oops sorry )

    welcome by the way

    I
WTF? Speak for yourself. My scooter is capable of 90+MPH, and the wheels on it are perfectly capable of supporting those speeds.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Not wobbled off yet.. and it regularly used to do 100mph down the back straight at Cadwell Park.

    What sort of scooter?
