    Air cleaner cleaning

    Im just about to do a bike service. Im up to the Cleaning the Air Cleaning Cleaner. In my manual the reccomend cleaning it with a non flamable solvent.... what solvent should i use...

    Do you guys have any recomendations and more impornantly where can I get it?

    I would use kero (even though it is meant to be flamable) as it works for me.

    BUT what concerns me is the unhealthy interest you have in porn as mentioned in the second sentence.

    i used a bit of kerosene, then hung it on the washing line to dry out (was a rubber lip on it with a ring in it so worked sweet).... good idea with the compressed air thing!

    The amount of shit that came out of mine after 30,000km's was a lot more than i was expecting, im gonna be checking it every time i change the oil now!

    foam filter is best done with warm water & gentle detergent then left to dry naturally

    thanks for the advice fellers seems kero seems to be the way to go... i will just let it fully dry out before sticking it back in.

    Compressed air from the inside out always worked for me, Kero is your own choice... depends how dirty it is.
