i would have thought that the red car was no where near close enough to pass, the car was at least 3 lenghts infront, and by the way the red car just suddenly swerved, there was no need![]()
we may just go where no ones been
Are you saying you can't see that there's a car directly in front of the red car?
The driver of the red car even gives a clue as to his intentions when he momentarily moves to the centre line in order to check the road ahead just as they come around the corner .
Pity the motorcyclist wasn't able to read that clue.
No, obviously i cant, because i already said, at least 3 car lengths in front of the red car, watch as hes crashing you can clearly see in front of the red car and there's no car except the silver one, and that's not directly in front?
But the point about the moving over thing is right
we may just go where no ones been
watch it again, but use play/stop to slow the frames down. At aprox 0.9sec into the clip when the red car pulls out you can see the car directly in front of it. Also, look at the shadow falling on the ground beside the car to the left - that isn't the silver car, which is at least three chain ahead.
It is deceiving, and I had to watch it a couple of times before I saw it. It's also a good reminder of how constantly diligent we as bikers have to be.

Drag racing crash, with cheeky bonus
You can also feel that the red car driver will overtake at the first opportunity as he is driving quite aggressively (lots of swerve, acceleration, braking), and he's quickly closing the gap with the car in front before overtaking. Plus, the car model and color should give a hint that the driver is more likely to be careless.
Note that, even if the driver has checked his mirrors, the biker was likely in blind spots or not very visible because he was too close both when following and when overtaking.
gutted - that makes me want to cry ~
