A great analysis of some piss-poor decision making.

    Really good analysis. Cheers.

I didn't know Mark Gardiner had a blog. I really enjoyed his book 'Riding Man' about his participation at the IOM TT. Will need to do some more reading through the blog.

I read it when he posts something, there's a lot to like.

No they wouldn't. Point taken. I sort of see where you are coming from. The fact it might have affected me personally is not that relevant and visiting my mates, believing themselves to be blessed with a sixth sense, happened more than once

I saw that one on another site with some more alternative camera angles, or just the same ones in a different order.

Isn't it great how motorcyclists end up producing the irrefutable evidence to convict themselves

Good advert for those new fangled air suits though. That first guy on the GSXR rolled like a weeble.

Hope the bunch of twats on BMW's had a few cameras when they were travelling south near Beaumont last week. Would like to see the viewpoint from the compete fuckwit with pillion riding lead who was overtaking prior to a right hand corner. His eyes when the Ford Ranger came round the corner must have been huge.

Sounds like one of them guided group rides, seen some real dodgy shit up central way from those guys.

To be honest, I think every rider that crashed was responsible for his own demise. Just plain stupid riding. No wonder insurance premiums are expensive everywhere.

How the hell did the first 2, and the guy at 1.17 possibly crash?

    That's easy!

The first two were not ever taught how to steer a bike, so the ever so slight slight reverse camber meant that their reliance upon shifting their balance, allowing them to lean and hence steer, couldn't cope with the speed they were doing.

I am presuming that the guy at 1:17 was taught that, if ever in doubt as to what to do, grab a fist full of front brake and stoppie your way out of the bend

Damn you for overly intellectualising such a serious subject by introducing the Posh & Becks words of wisdom factor
