Kels its worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.
That amount maybe to your liking or maybe not.
If she is a good runner and those k's are geniune then you should count on getting reasonable $'s.
Trademe is going to give you the best access to buyers and if you are unsure of how much is the right amount have a high reserve. Then if the closing time for the auction is coming around you can lower your reserve and part with the bike.
If the top $ offered is too low you can relist for no extra charge and run the auction again. And if it doesnt sell you also have the opertunity to offer it to those bidding and watching at whatever price you choose or keeping the bike in the end.
It costs $20 to list on TM and another $20 sucess fee.
If you have seen something you like in a bike shop you may find that you can get a resonable amount as a trade.
My uneducated value on something '84ish would be $1500 +/- 250. That would be a good price. I sold my '84 XJ900 on TM a year ago and got 1750 .. I think!!
Hope this helps ... The other senario is if you are wanting a price cause you have a friend who wants to buy it. Really you should put it on TM and let him buy it off there or at least the top bid. Else you may let it go too cheap

PS Seing how you live in Auckland, Frosty will have a fair idea on its value. Send him a PM and see

I just sold an 83 VF750FD in rough but original (i.e. unfuckedaround with) with 109000km, rego on hold and expired WOF (and no front brake) and got $1360: any bike with rego wof and streetable has to be close to $2k I would have thought. Bizarre isnt it: if it was a 250, the price would be double that probably. stupid licencing laws.
