    P=V*I Power = Volts * Current
    If you half the volts the current needs to double. Hence on a 10Amp circuit you have avaliable 2k4 Watts of energy
    If you plug your cell charger into a 230~240 circuit it draws 0.02A or 20 mA
    When you plug it into a 110~120 volt circuit it will draw .040A or 40mA
    You bunch of wallys . . . I cant believe you took the time to write up the equations and give examples.

    Everyone knows "Wotts" is proportional to "Amps" if the music is loud.
    "Volts" is just a dance form when you touch the plug thats hooked to the "Amps"

    Low power stuff, eg. Cell phone chargers it isnt a drama to have more voltage.
    High power applications, eg. computer stuff use switched mode power supplies which have regulation that can handle the wide range of voltage.
