Stay with me on this one

    Okay listen up.

Have a look around you right now and tell me what electrical devices around you can run on dual 110/240 volts.

You'll be surprised. More on this later.

You idiot, check the AC adapter then, it'll be 110/240v.

    Anyway, get back to work.

Lots of devices will run on 110v. So why don't we halve the voltage and slash our power usage!

    Finn, you're a bloody genius.

Hang about - it takes a set amount of power to run a device... so if you halve...na - I can't be bothered...

Well there you go then. I do remember seeing some with a switch on the back. Some bathroom appliances are dual as well, shavers etc.

not usually, most desktops are manually switched. nice big blue spark if you **** it up. some of the higher end psu's for gaming/overclocking niche markets are. most laptop psu's are automatic however if that's what you meant.

and yeah running on 110v halves power usage. just like tying knots in cords stops lightning strikes killing devices plugged in.....

    Get yourself an orbital sander
Glue and screw the sanding face to a bench at waist height
"Insert yourself" in the dust extractor
Turn it on... stand and enjoy.

    240V of pure pleasure.

Women need to vary things a little... inserting the toy of their choice ... facing away etc.

Try not to do it at work - I hear your boss is a prick
