We're a bit financially strapped right now (not that we go overboard for Valentine's Day anyway) so we agreed to limit it to a card each and fish and chips on the beach if it's fine. Last night I was out by the woodshed when he came home and caught him trying to hide a small bunch of flowers! He'd also bought me a bottle of wine (he doesn't drink) and this morning I not only got a little box of my favourite Guylian chocolates, but he'd also been in and collected a magazine I have ordered every month! So much for NOT doing anything this year...

I felt a bit guilty as I had taken him at his word, so I ducked into town and bought him a sunshade for the car (he'd bought one from the $2 shop and it was crap - too floppy and wouldn't stay in the window!) and I've just made him a cheesecake as he loves them. And I'll shout the fish and chips tonight!

We decided last year to just buy something small or go out for a meal on Valentine's Day as my birthday is March 3 and our wedding anniversary is March 5, so otherwise it turns out to be quite expensive!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I didn't spend much - just bought a small box of heart-shaped choccies on the way home last night. This was a big deal though, as usually we ignore this example of materialistic Murkn culture. However, this is a big year for us, so I decided I'm gonna look after my gurrrl.
Splurged out on a very expensive present for her upcoming birthday, so I kept the Valentine's thing to a mere token.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    Huh!
My wife's birthday is March 5th!
Our anniversary is September 4th - still enough time to plan summat HUGE, as befits the silveriness of the thing....

where's the option for how much you spend on a kebab and movie whilst sitting home alone in the dark and end up crying yourself to sleep?

    PS. It's about $10.

    Reciprocate pampering I hope...

Supposed to be going to dinner, instead sitting waiting for the AA to come and jump start the dead battery ... which is under the seat ... which has to be unbolted ... for which I don't have any tools ... because there's nowhere under the (bolted) seat to put them!
