You are mad doing those hours .. but you also may be paid for them ... e.g. contractor with good rates ....

I have read research that people become less effective after 50 hours a week .. but I used to do 60+ and was fine .. most of the time ...

Now I am on a salary .. I word no more than 50 and mostly around 40 hours per week, I also don't like my team to work more than 40.

*student and bumm* worked for 6years fulltime, so a few years living off the tax I paid while i study wont do any harm...

    .

Sometimes have to put in some longish weeks. But then often get a week or 2 off inbetween jobs being a lazy boss has its advantages. Also charging dubble that anyone else in town charges helps

Not unusual for me to do 80 hour weeks. Shows a damn good work ethic in those that do 55+ hours a week in my opinion, you soon weed out the wimps who want easy money

37.5 standard for the salary but probably an hour or two more than that. Good news is that the extra hours are given back as time in lieu. Good employer, mine.
