    Question Best thing since sliced bread

    Can someone please help me, You have probably all heard of the saying "the best thing since sliced bread" What was the best thing just before sliced bread???

    The question is only answerable by people who say "it's the best thing since sliced bread". As they are usually talking about a spanner or a salad spinner (WTF are they all about), then they obviously have some issues with prioritisation, and woe be tied me to even guess what they think is the second most important thing in the history of creation.

    The most important thing after sliced bread was probably the bread bag, followed by the bread bag tie. So at the very least they should be saying "it's the most important thing since the tie for the bread bag for the sliced bread".

    But if I really had to answer your question, then my answer would be the bread knife of course.
