    FOR SALE: 250 Honda Xelvis

Hi ya. I've moved to Aus and am regretfully selling my bike.

Its a 1995 Honda Xelvis 25V. Something a little different. Beautiful bike, handles and goes so well. Done 46,000k but due to my being in Aus it is currently deregistered. WOF expires in May but it hasn’t actually been ridden since it was renewed in December. Reg also went on hold in Dec and is deregistered till early March (thought I was going to be home for Christmas....).

Bike has been regularly serviced and is currently in storage at my Dad's in the Hutt, Wellington. It is still being regularly started and run.

Only damage is from a wee topple from standing - knocked over by Welly winds. As a result there is a scuff and dimple on the left of the tank and the left front indicator now has a slant on it.

As mentioned in another thread I’m not really sure what price to put on it; open to discuss offers (or hear suggestions), but broad thinking at the mo is $3000-$4000.

If you are genuinely interested (and will look after her….) or have any questions, please PM me. I will have to get you in touch with someone in NZ, apologies in advance for not being able to show you the bike in person. Will also need to discuss re-registration.

    Thanks.

Cool! I didn't know these existed in NZ! Must be a grey import? Xelvis -- AKA VT250FN. Spada engine, so it will go pretty quick. I think it's slightly detuned compared to the Spada, though. Pretty weighty, though, but that would be comforting on the open road for a newbie, especially in Wellington winds. Good looking bike. Not so good looking guy advertising it, though... [see below]

Yeah I've seen TWO others in the last 2 years - but both black. It does go pretty quick and although fairly big it isnt that heavy. The sort of bike though that if you dont want to (or like me and never get round to advancing your license) it'll do you for a long time!

How do you pronounce that? Is it "Zelvis"?

I literally just say X - Elvis..... could be wrong. I normally just leave that part off and throw in 25V (which is what my insurance company insist on insuring it as) cause I always get the reply... "a what?"
