Weather permitting, if anyone wants to blast out to Pukekohe with me I'll be stopping outside Autobahn Papakura at 10.30am Saturday 14th morning. I'm keen to go out and watch/support/take photos for a while and then take a ride on the open road for a couple of hours. Would be good to have some company.

What a great day! Everything went well (for myself anyway). I found out that the front brake pads were all worn out so I was having to brake WAY earlier, even then I ran wide a few times but still stayed on the track.

The front tire has been on the bike for fuck knows how many Ks, so it was making things "interesting" for most of the day. Anywho, I was there on the track on a beautiful day and there was no way in hell I was going back home with out doing better than a 1.05. I gave it all I had on the final session and I was pleased to come back and see that I had managed a few 1.04s!

A new set of race brake pads and a change of front tire should have me ready for the club champs at Pukie next month. Can't wait!!

Thank you Quasie, mini-me and 750Y for timing me!!

Here are a few of the better pics I got, I took about 70, but most of them were blurry. Ah well, that's part of the beauty of digital cameras, you can rely on luck to get good pictures and not have to pay for lots of film

I couldn't figure out how to post them in the kiwibiker gallery, so I put them on webshots:

(edit: The same images (but downsized a bit) are now also in the kiwibiker gallery here:

With a digital camera, you need to prefocus the camera prior to the bike coming in to frame (set the focus). Aim at the general area the bike is going to be when you want to take the pic - half depress the button and then wait until the bike comes in to frame. This way you will get away from either blurry pics or pics with no bikes in them
