    18th Febuary - 250 Ride to Kaiaua

    Hey everybody,

It has been a while since we had a 250 ride so Donor, Mamba and I thought we would organise one.

We would like to have a nice ride down to Kaiaua and are meeting at BP Botany (Cnr Ti Rakau and Chapel Roads) at 9-9.30am for a 10am depature)

This would be a good ride for new bikers to come along to, we will be riding at legal speeds and the roads out that way are awesome.

This will probably be the last hurrah for Daisy as well so come along to say goodbye (and make huge offers to buy her). Everybody is welcome to come along, however as this is the first event I am organising I am concentrating on looking after the 250 group. 'Faster' riders are welcome but I may ask you to sort out your own group leader, TEC etc.

EDIT: There is an option to continue on to Kaiaua for the Street Races. This will be discussed at the start of the ride and we will vote on whether or not to go then

Feel free to PM me with questions or comments.

Thread is here to sign up

Thanks, I hope to see a few of you there for a good ride

    Cheers

    Chisanga

If you're going to Kaiaua, carry on down to Paeroa. Street races are a great day out.
RSV Mille: No madam, its an Aprilia, not a Harley. If it were a Harley, I would be pushing it !

I am open to changing the destination if the riders who are attending want to do so but i'm not sure if everyone has the time to spend all day at the races. This ride is ideal for those who just want to ride

    Hi Chisanga

I will definitely be joining a 250 ride once I'm comfortable enough to venture out onto the open road. I think it's great that Kiwibiker has these rides for us newbies.

I was planning on following my old man to the races but if this ride goes that way then I might join y'all!

Not sure if I wanna take a detour way around though, don't want to miss out on watching the races!

Good on you guys for organising a ride, would be there with bells on , but prior commitment with daughter no 2 at the weetbix triathlon, have a safe ride, and look forward to catching up next time.

Mate, I'd just join in - the ride only goes as fast as the slowest rider.

Yep - the irony being the slowest rider has traditionally been on the fastest bike!

Ahhh, yer a cunny funt Nige - glad to be back I am!

PS Don't sell daisy as being castrated by a burnout from a 2 stroke often offends....

Ah, the problem lies in that I am not as slow as I used to be...

And as for the castration, well it's a damn sight more manly than waving me wobbly bit at a man with a scalpel - so heat them pipes I say!

So is there a chance that this ride could end up at the races?
I haven't been on a 250 kb ride for a while, but I really want to go to the races... decisions decisions
