    Pinlock anti-mist visor insert

If you get problems with your visor misting up in cold weather (and who doesn't?), then the Pinlock system could be the very thing to stop this.

I have one - and I cannot make it mist up.

This review shows more detail, plus how one tester took things to real extremes to try to make it mist up.

Great piece of kit and well worth the small amount of cash it costs.

I have this system on my Arai helmet, superb. You don't realise how good it is until you leave the insert behind..............

Can you get it in NZ, and if so how much?

You can Drum. Just give Kerry or Richard a yell at TSS and they'll tell you if you can get it for your helmet, or if you'll need the Universal kit which involves drilling your current visor. Having experienced this system in both my Nolan and Arai helmets I can tell you there is nothing better. HJC's coating comes close.

Bloody good idea, wonder why it wasn't come up with sooner. My visor always fogs up in cold weather and rain when I'm stopped at traffic lights. Have to open it a little bit to keep it clear. Jim2: Any idea how much they sell for? Cheers.

Have it on my Shoei and it's the best yet, however I find that the top of the insert is sometimes right in my eyeline or at least a visual distraction

I can think of several reasons why you might be doing that... none of them good

I have one on my Shoei. The new ones have a bead now which seems to fit tighter as the old ones did not and after a while loosened and scratched the visor.

You can get tinted ones too I think.

Sooner??? - have had mine for about 7 years. They were available on Nolan helmets first of all. They really are superb.

The only non-pinlock system that seems to work reliably is Schuberth's anti-fog coating.
A bit dearer than Nolans though.
