    Xena disc-lock alarm

After trying to ride off with my D-lock on earlier this week (bike fine, lock screwed) I needed a new lock for insurance purposes so off I went to Cycletreads. I came away with a Xena XZ1 disclock alarm for $70 which I thought at the time was a little steep but since I had extra cash this week and it IS to keep my baby safe I was pretty happy.

Rocked up round at my friends house, parked up and put the lock on then went inside for a coffee. His flatmates friends turn up and one of the assholes decided to have a nosy at my bike and got blasted with 110db for his efforts

Feel much safer parking the bike random places now, coz I can whip to lock out from under the seat and know that its gonna be pretty damn impossible for anyone to mess with my bike without attracting attention.

Kewl...I don't think $70 is too bad really considering it's an alarm too.

How sensitive is the sensor? Nothing worse than a temperamental siren.

Well actually there probably is ... you know what I mean

Yeah once I'd actually had a demonstration of it I was stoked! definately worth the price.

Well the cat hasn't set it off yet!
It goes off for 10 seconds then resets itself so if someone was really trying to take off with the bike it would go off multiple times But if it was set off accidently you dont have to go turn it off then reset it yourself.
