My float needle keeps getting stuck in my carb; fuel leaking out overflows.

Try tightening up the little screw plug. (Its a valve that drains water or dirty fuel from the carby bowl).
What sort of carby is it? - Mikuni?

As mentioned before they are Keihin PWK 28's.

Thanks for the suggestion but I really can't see how this would help. Are you suggesting fuel is leaking out of the screw plugs?
