No argument that the red flag was waved -I diddnt see em resulting in me doing 2 laps in practice I shouldn;t have -I apologised profusely as i was to be asked to leave the meeting for breaching the red flag rules --But complaints from 50% of the feild suggested I was right in that situation and the flag position was changed to a more suitable position
5 riders had to be spoken to about doing extra laps and two of those had a different reason for continuing.
Only 1 said that he couldnt see the flag.
No riders (other than Frosty) pointed out that there was a problem with the location of the chequerd flag/Red flag. I would have thought that if 50% of the field had problems, someone would have contacted race Control.
If you have a problem, point it out to the Clerk of Course or the Stewards. Then it can be looked at and attended to.

Id suggest you check your facts--A riders spokesman (ray Nairne)
got as far as speaking to the race officials on the dummy grid--The only race officials we could get to due to race control being placed INSIDE the track and being made inaccessable due to a decision made by race control not to open the track between practices--(to make up the lost time due to crashes
The INCIDENT that caused the red flag in the first place was caused by one rider being on his warm down and another not seeing the chequred flag and being at full race pace when they collided
Several riders also spoke to the race commentator during the morning practice and he relayed via RT to race control the comments by those riders.
Proof of the pudding is as they say in the eating--if there wasn't an issue they would NOT have relocated the flags and used a second chequred flag on the pit straight.
AGAIN--I repeat -there was an issue and as a result race control sorted it --pretty darn fast
I give these folk full credit for dealing with several crashes and several incidents during the day that would have had me tearing my hair out.
The logistics of that event is totally mind boggling --imagine the literally tonnes of hay bails theyu had to shift
The desighn of the track means race control is isolated from the pits
    Its a logistical nightmare

They just showed him crashing in the bales on tonight's TV1 6pm news.
Also showed two sidecars having a go at each other too.

Some more pics of the Pink Terror in action!

Thanks to Frosty and Madduck for the gear storage, it would have been damned hot carrying the stuff around all day
