What kinda hand shaker are you?

If I could do poll I would, but any comments would be
    appreciated

Hand shakes to me are first impressions of a person.
Does anyone actually acknowledge if they are a "wet rag" (limp) hand
shaker? you know the kind where you get a handful of dangly loose
fingers in your hand when you shake hands. If anyone is, I want
to know WHY they do it!! (excluding people that are being considerate
to the other person like a man not wanting to hurt a woman for example)
woman do it to woman so whats their excuse?
I find it quite offensive,I would rather not shake hands with someone that gives out a message that they can't be bothered (I have also found personally that a "wet ragger" almost always prove to be just like their handshake)

And all those strong handshakers - gosh what a relief when you get
    one of those types

I wonder if there is information on the different types of handshakes
    and what they mean??

I get irritated by bastards who grab your fingers before you can successfully complete a palm to palm hand shake.

I try to be firm, but I've both over and under done it in the past. (Stop giggling)

I wouldn't have guessed you as a limp handshaker Jim, is that what you
mean by "under done it" ?

I'm the kind of bloke that likes a good firm grip....
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I too hate the wet ragger handshakes but there is one i find even worse, perhaps you've expereinced it. If you havent its hard to understand just how mind numbingly aggrivating (sp) it is...
You offer your hand in normal fashion, that is your thumb is basically pointing up in the air, then they put thier hand out kind of horizontally forcing you to turn your hand over, palm upwards. Its flamin ridiculous and annoying. I read somewhere its some kind of pathetic dominance type phsyco pathetic dumb ego i'm top dog know your place be subservient to me type mind game b.s.
If anyone knows the type of handshake im talking about i'd like to know what you think too.

Only marginally worse that the wet ragger

Yeah, more often than not I'm too gentle when shaking hands with women. I've crunched a few hand bones before and it has put me off being too firm when shaking hands with women.

Yeah - I am a firm handshaker and prefer my hand on top!

Working in my industry - it is also a contest to see who can squeeze whos hand the hardest when you shake hands.

I hate the two hand handshake or the handshake with the other hand on your upper arm.

I hate it more tho when you miss the handshake and don't connect properly.

Handshake with guys? no worries! Give it a firm one and that’s that.

Chix is the same but sometimes they keep it a bit too soft, and I have to re-think if I should be more gentle as well. Also another one is where the ladies just give you their hand with the palm pointed down and fingers semi-curled (like as if they wanted you to kiss their hand). On the right occasion, OK kissing the hand is appropriate but what about when meeting someone during a business meeting or some other professional environment etc etc. At thoes times I just hold their hand and give it a wiggle, looking like a complete moron!

    What am I to do?

Or when theres four of you and you all go to shake at the same time
with four hands meeting in the middle! Timing is crucial really. Wait two
seconds more and it won't happen

With this type of person, you are meant to shake there hand by grapping it from the top and that way they get a kind of backward, upside down handshake. They are left knowing that they are a f'wit and that you are a clever bastard but acknowledge that by wanting to punch you in the nose..........but they don't cos they aleady feel stink.

Also like someone said, the person that shakes your fingers because they are so keen to shake your hand and don't properly connect - that shits me cos you kind of give off that your a wet fish shaker.

I am a mechanic by trade so we kind of forget how hard our grip is and tend to crush hands accidentally. I like it when I can foot it with the best of them, like dude with mits like Colin Meads!!
