Obviously the Japs aren't getting enough whale meat and have forgotten how to make exhaust pipes.

Sorry guys, I had a late one and will have a SFA day today. Hope it was good!

Pikers! "Ashhurst Boys joining ride for life". Yeah right! Fizzle out thread.

Someone managed to extradite a biker out of his bed at 10.30am, into the shower pronto, bike geared up ready to go and hit the road at 11.15am.
Arrive Dannevirke, no GarryH or Meanie, no other bikers at Suzuki or Mobil, have a fag and coffee at Wild Bean, and low and behold,12.20pm 12 bikers turn into the road to Suzuki dealers, led by Scott and Carissa - awesome! But no Cowboyz???? WTF?
Joined up with the group, tootled off to Waipukarau for a regroup, joined by 3 others bikers, and unfortunately got broken up by cages at the intersections and lights, so became two groups for a while.
Regrouped, and unbeknown to myself what was happening, we were lead into the Arena in Napier to be greeted by seemingly thousands of 'relay for life' walkers and joggers going around and around in circles - daft stuff - give me a bike any day.

Carissa and Scott, and their two close supporters, Pam and (name escapes me BMW rider) who did the entire NZ trip, did a lap of honour and speech/interview, and shared scrummy birthday cake (put on for Pam)amongst us all - thank you!
I'm beginning to think that these KB'ers aren't such a bad bunch after all, after meeting a few more of you today.

Left the group and took in a wine tasting at Vidals in Hastings - my rider got lost trying to get out of Hastings, but we finally hit the highway, and cruised back to Waipukarau at sunset (beautiful with the sun going down, and more blue and yellows than common cages on the road), spinach and creamed tomato pasta, salad, and ciabatta bread and dips for dinner at Steak and Ale with a Sauv. Blanc, and cruised back to Palmy in the dark.

    Bring on Manfield today

"Might catch the ride at Danny Verk's Suzuki Shop as I could possibly be heading up that way to see a man about a bike."

Decided I would rather spend a great sunny day at Manfeild than ride on what was predicted to be wet east coast. Glad I did as there was some awesome qualifying and racing going on. Shame the Australians are going so fast. Back there again today for the big day.

Glad you enjoyed Manfield instead - only a few spits on the other side.
It appears I've been replaced today for my anticipated Manfield outing by a certain Levin Kiwi Biker - good luck to her!
