that was the easiest claim I have ever had, state customer backed into me at speed, I called my insurance co(state also) 2 days later my car was in the shop being fixed, no probs, brand new parts too.

sometimes a panel beater may skim a bit using s/h parts if he's a bit sifty, if you arent happy with the job then take it back and ask for it to be fixed up.

Several over the years. Have had our bathroom repaired (water damage) twice, theft claims, and vehcle claims.
However, we have come unstuck over our latest claim, where hXc (3rd party ins on his bike), was hit from behind by another State customer 9also 3rd party only). Despite receiving a traffic offence notice, she is refusing to admit liability for the accident... we seem to be in a holding pattern with nothing happening at the moment.

If the coppers have issued them with a traffic offence notice for causing the accident there should be no problems!! This is similar to what happened to me but it was a truck that tore my door off and ripped me out of my seat onto the road. He was getting around a car on the inside and just kept driving away and told the cops he wasnt even near the accident scene shame there just happened to be a number of witnesses that saw it!! He might have got off!

Witnesses at the scene and evidence collected by the attending officer back up hXc's story 100% - but, the girl will not admit liability, so we are stalled "in negotiations".

[sometimes a panel beater may skim a bit using s/h parts if he's a bit sifty, QUOTE]

This cant actually happen as all the parts are bought off an online parts system that IAG (State Insurance) have access to and know what parts are supplied and what price is paid.
If you dont buy the cheapest part available you have to explain why, sometimes the new parts are cheaper than second hand.
