I grew up in the Hutt too, and I thought it was really funny.

I grew up around mud huts, does that count?
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Raised in the Hutt, love the Hutt.

Without the Hutt I never would of had,

    1. Black Jeans
    2. A Mullet (when i was a teenager)
    3. A pash behind the bike sheds at Intermediate
    4. A smoke out the back tennis courts at High School
    5. White Trash mates
    6. Riding around in an HQ
    7. Te-Marua Speedway
    8. Watching the bogans sun bathing around at Days Bay in their black jeans with their crates of grog on the bonnets of their toranas.

The list goes on and on..........

I lived and worked in the hutt for a number of years... then I moved somewhere more normal.

Apprently (from what Ive been told) The Hutt is actually part of wellington, but the behaviour has made them independant

The Hutt to Wellington is kinda like Manukau to Auckland city. Outsiders think it's all the one city but no they're not

It's kinda more obvious with the hutt though, there's a harbour dividing us

    Remember this sign?

"Welcome to Lower Hutt, It's got the lot!" SH2 near Haywards intersection.
Temporarily changed to "It's got the pot".

Although it doesn't match the hopeful tone for Stokes Vegas "More than you expect"
