I use my one most of the time... unless I am going into town (three blocks away). I know I probably should use it all the time though

Quasi offered me a back protector at such a good price it would have been stupid to turn him down.

I've had 'back issues' so I think it probably helps with my posture on the bike as well

It wouldn't fit under the Tron suit.

unless you are getting top of the line leathers, or as an accessory that clips in... no, the leathers won't come with a good back protector.

Bit naughty... I only wear my full back protector (its a big one, kidneys, shoulders and tail bone are all protected) when doing the country rides. Full leathers normally indicates I will have the full back protector... Rest of the time, I'm naughty, and its jeans and jacket...

Never worn one. Do wear a kidney belt on a regular basis though.

I wear mine all the time. As someone who saw me wearing mine said to me "Now that you wear one, you feel like you need to wear it all the time as it'll be the one day you don't that you'll need it the most", so I do. Feel safer wearing it too, although I certainly don't rely upon it!

I have a Quasi back protector which I won at my first track day. Very comfortable and the kidney belt makes a good corset to keep the flabbly bits in place.
Have to admit that, until today, have not been able to wear it 'cause if I tucked it into my trou so I could do up the joining zip I couldn't do up my pants! Am back on my mountain bike (now there's a sight ) and am 7.5 kgs less so far and counting so as of today I can actually do up the zip. Took great pleasure this afternoon in taking out the silly bit of foam in my jacket and will wear the protector instead. Figure most of my clients have spinal injuries and I don't really want my staff to have me as a client as well (nor do they 'cause I'd be a right royal grumpy, demanding old prick)

You Know that you wear it inside your pants right ?
ie Back Protecotr on then pants , than jacket then Zip up Pants and jacket together, that way you can get it down onto your tail bone area..........very important.

Yep. That's been precisely the problem.... not enough room for guts and protector inside my pants. Getting rid of some fat has solved that problem and now I can actually wear it, do up my pants and zip pants and jacket together. Amazing what a few salads and a bit of exercise can do.
Down 7.5 kgs so far and aim is for around another ten which gives me an excellent excuse for a new set of leathers. Will see you then.
