I wear mine on long, fast rides (as a pillion) but I don't wear it to work every day. It's hot enough putting around slowly in Auckland traffic with all my gear, without wearing a corset too!

When I do wear it, I find it very comfortable. It helps keep me warm around the kidney area and I think it might cushion some of the jolting on my spine.

I have a built-in back protector in my jacket but I find the other one stays in position better and is more comfy.
There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!

I didn't wear one for years. MSTRS and Speights_Bud talked me in to one. When I came off on the Taupo track and bounced over the ripple strip and on to the grass I was pleased to have it on. Now I always wear it, Road and track. Feel naked with out it.

    Have a Quasi back protector.
Wear it only when I'm heading out of the city, drag racing or at trackdays.
