    if your goin to coromandel id say go straight out of tiarua and straight out to the Aldamen islands (not sure on spelling) shark ally out there is great jumped in and came face to face with a mako it was choice also a few bronzys hanging around....apart from that your see lots of big kingis.....ive also seen one queensland gropper out there.....lots of crays out there to.

    also great mercury island is good to...
    further north than the northland crew

    Thanks for the feedback everyone..

    Dive HQ have decided that they are too busy to accomodate us whilst Dive Tairua (who were busy on the Sat), decided to put an extra boat on for us.. So will be heading out with them for two days in a row.. Not much of a photographer sorry - but will see what I can do....
    It's been a rough day. I got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off.
    As I ran out the door, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle came off.
    Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.

    Chris, hopefully I'll catch up with you later in the year when I'm back riding & maybe we can organise a trip to our bach at Opito Bay (we have a boat there). There are many places to check out at the Mercs and out the back of Red Merc is deep blue water diving - 90ft + can be awesome
