I have a set of Fibreglass NC30 fairings here that i'm not using. Kinda rough but complete and a lot easier to repair then the standard road fairings. P.M me if you want more details.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Had a friend who rebuilt one about 5 years ago, cost him about $2500 doing all the assembly work himself. Good fun with the gear driven cams that motor... especially if you get the heads planed

Didn't seem particularly difficult, just a whole heap of tiny parts.

I'd just take it out and race it, if it goes pop (unlikely) then fix it

You mean a 15 year old prethrashed second hand possibly dubious engine is $800... But yeah, don't spend the coin until you really have to.

Don't rebuild it. Just get the valve shims done plus the basics like change the oil and filter, clean those carbs, change the air filter and go for it.

No reason to spend a packet on your first go at racing.
