    Thumbs down Crashed my bike!

    The Mountain Bike that is

Screaming round a bend, see a huge rock on the track.
I thought instead of jumping down a rock bank on the bike, id hit the rock instead, flying over the bars, and rolling down it instead!

Turns out, that was a bad choice. haha
Broken spokes, bent rim, elbow swollen like a mutha f*@ka! and a stupidly sore back!
What made it worse, was that i was just over half way, so still needed to make it home! Shit it was hard work riding a bike like that. Good training either way i guess. haha

    Ahhhh, gotta love this shit!
Give me a few days, and ill be back out there! (after i fix te bike, that is)

Yeah, I've highsided a mountainbike. My Giant Yukon, on Hutt Valley Thunderbolts BMX track in Upper Hutt. Going over the whoopdedoos and pushed when I should have pulled - came down on the front wheel, compressed the forks to their maximum and over I went...

Dirt hurts when you hit it. Much more than I remember from when I was a teenager. And it removes skin nicely too...

And yeah, I bent the front wheel, but it was easily fixed by The Cycle Centre.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Join the club of recent bins - Hope you get your bike sorted soon and yourself. I've sorted mine and you are right about getting back home - it is a bit hard - I did not have a gearlever !! - but still got home somehow.

You're bloody right - I agree - anything that depends on gravity - sucks!! - also you tend too get hurt on the shins more than on a motorbike.
