I was wondering how long it would take OUTLAWTORN to get in on this thread!!!!!

Being a topic so close to his heart and all.

I still get a kick out of Metallica, good music to clean the bike too.

Am also getting a kick out of Apocalyptica, have heard many Metallica tunes, Faith No More tunes, Sepultura tunes and a couple of SLAYER tunes by these guys, quite amusing actually.

Heavy metal done by cello, what will they think of next?

Eh, no one's really mentioned St. Anger aye?
I like Metallica, i have a long haired uncle to thank for that, and some bogan that lived down my street who gave me the S&M 2 disk pack.

I enjoyed all the albums up to Metallica Metallica, which I didn't think was quite as good as previous ones.

Cliff Burton was a legend bass guitarist, but I still love Justice for All - Frayed Ends of Sanity was an awesome song, as is Blackened.

Same for me, though I still have all the Metallica albums, apart from St Waste of Fscking Time. No thanks. I still listen to the older stuff from time to time, along with Garage Inc which isn't half bad, I used to be way into Metallica when I was 16/17 too. Now 24 and think it's alright, but have other bands I prefer now.

Add me to that list thanx Slayer.
Oh, and some Slayer stuff to go along with it would bring back old times. Don't know what happened to all my Slayer files but it'd be good to listen to them again.

Coincidentally I've just been listening to Metallica, courtesy of Jim2's recommended link to www.last.fm

I started off by listening to Steve Vai and ended up about 45 minutes later listening to Metallica -- and a lot of interesting stuff in between.

Noooo! Put him in the widdly-widdly guitar-wank masquerading as a song box with Satriani and Malmsteen. Next!
