The way I read the thread (amongst the dribble) it is to be ready and rearing to go for a departure time to the picnic site at 1:30.

jUst quick not on this - I haven't looked at NH's report so it might be in there as well -
The picnic thing worked pretty well - a site closer to the rally site would have been better but other than that it worked well, got us away for about the right length of time and made an opportunity for some interesting relaxed conversations as well as a nice ride.

General consensus then was we should do it again at future events but chuck in new ideas to make it interesting.

Well I found the place you were going to have the Teddy Bears Picnic, but you weren't there.

And I have found out later I rode passed the place you had it, bugger, never mind there will be another time.

Good to catch up again even tho it was only for a short time.

It was a good picnic, great fun and something a little different. We did go to far but having said that there were no roads to the Waitaki, never mind.

You would've been struggling to find us where we did have it anyway - the bikes were under the bridge just before Hakataramea and we kind of under some trees some distance away from the bridge itself. There'll be another day I'm sure.
