    Worlds best safety gear

Seriously... a gun bag. Buy one - they're only $26 (I bought mine for $80... damn! ... Anyway...) put a broom handle in it to stop it flopping around, throw it over your shoulder and ride.

I had to bring a rifle into town this morning for a wee fix up and the cars were parting like I had Moses himself waving his magic wand. Bloody awesome!

Funny what it says about bikes not being seen too... people will see you if you're a threat...

    Brillient!!!

If you made it a piece of galv pipe instead of a broom stick you would have something to inflict damage if a incident did ocur.

Any legalities in regard to the safe transportation of firearms tho?

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Na - none at all.. so long as the rules are followed (i.e. it's as disabled as it reasonably can be, ammo is in another container etc etc).

I semi regular ride up and back to the field of bunnies (next to the field of Pukekos - but that's another story) but it's not in dense traffic to I didn't really notice the effect so much. Splitting down the NW with a gun bag over the shoulder however...

Of note - it can be more difficult to stop for fuel. Petrol station attendant have this thing about guns for some reason... go figure!

Dude - you missed the point.

I don't want a revolver.. pissy little thing that no-one can see (therefore not worry about). I want a gun bag with a pipe or something in it (bugger the expense of buying a gun). People think you're a danger and steer clear.

There was a guy in an old cortina nearly throw himself into the next lane to make enough space for me. I pissed myself laughing...

Hah, yeah... there was a comment on there about carrying in the back of his jeans, so when his jacket rides up, it becomes visible.

Problem is only cars behind you see it though.

    Triple clamp mounted machine gun!

I rode with a 3m length of hot water pipe lagging last year, tucked in between back and bag like a sword. Cages really did keep back.

Gun bag ... Hmm ... might attract Police though.

Yeah I have to admit I was mindful of that but then I don't push it when I split anyway so no big deal for me.

Might go check out snap'd though LOL - I might be famous!

    Just for you...

edit - they come with a diagonal/shoulder strap that connects from one end to the other so when they're over your shoulder it's pretty obvious what's in one

most places ive been to try and charge just under the hundred odd dollar mark for gun bags, so id be interested as to where you can get them at such a cheap price.
