Argh, and this is what happens when you don't check KB for a while kiddies! Probably not the best idea anyway, pretty sure my KR needs a new chain. Have a good ride.

    Ouch

    Hey yall,

Had a great ride there today, Donor, Mav, Zeocen, Mamba and myself on the ride out to Kaiaua, then addition of Squiggles & Hanne joined us from Kaiaua.

Good speed, weather was nice (not too hot and not pouring).

All was going well, a bit too fast and gravel on a corner on the way home and I came off. REALLY don't enjoy that moment of "OH SHIT HERE WE GO AGAIN". At least just a bruised arm/shoulder and a little bit of bending back to do. Got up and rode Crazyfrog home, think that was the best choice all round, she was rideable and getting straight back in the saddle is often the best thing (stops you re-living the crash mentally while on the side of the road). What a dick (me) is all I can say, too much juice and gravel on a corner. At least it was a good bin in the fact I could get up and ride away.

Thankyou gods of two wheels for sparing me yet again. Many thanks and love to my fellow KB's who stopped to pick me and Crazyfrog up - Mamba, Mav, Squiggles & Hanne. Thanks for the escourt home too. Come on over for a cuppa when you're around next. Out comes the arnica cream and ice pack - off to physio tomorrow for something else, so I'm sure I'll need attention on the other side this time.

Brilliant ride - even the couple of lame attempts by mother nature to rain on us were barely noticeable.

Rosey handled better than ever, and I felt like I was just on top to give her some ballast, she barely needs my input from hooning straights to undie bunching twisties.

Thanks to all for today, apologies for the fluid imbalance hesitation occurrence!

Chickadee - we traveled HOW many km today, and you decide to wait til Zeocen and I are gone before binning? Dang, I never got the opportunity to demonstrate my unique patient care skills! But bloody glad to hear you and Froggy are okay!

Hanne and Squiggles - better late than never, I'll shout you some hot chips next time to make up for lack of lunch today

Award for best colour combo goes to Zeocen though, surrounded by the Mav Mobile and two ZZR250's, his black bike was complimented rather nicely by his green appearance... muhahaha...

Great to meet up with you guys again, thanks to all who came along. It was a nice ride, got to play with the new bike a bit and get to know each other a bit better, lots of fun had.
Lunch as usual was very nice, my mouth is watering again just thinking about it

Keep you chin up Chickadee, It could have been any one of us, at least there appears to be no serious damage, hope you arent too bruised.

Will try run another run sometime in the near future as work/etc allows, look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I was content after smacking my ass and making you eat my dust..... until you rode up next to me stroking your bike as we were riding haha.

Very fun ride, first time I've been on the Hunua roads, they're great! Taking the corners into Kaiaua pretty much reinforced the need to get a bigger bike, fast. Although it was still a hell of a lot of fun! Probably the best/funnest ride I've been on so far(and I really need to learn to get some sleep the night before so I'm not falling asleep at BP haha).

Fricken ZZR's, just wait.. my time will come, oh yes. It will.

Yeah yeah, it almost came twice on the Hunua stretch... I had to resist the temptation to give you a bit of a serve by way of overtake - but I hate seeing a grown man cry... lol

    Where were the girls today

    Thanks ya-all for the support.

I was an honery bloke today, wonder where all you Angels were today (apart from the second round - riding home where Hanne joined us).

Yes you boys and stroking your tanks, I did a bit of that today to be one of the guys I must admit. Couldn't burp like donor though, too much skill for me there.

My mates bought me some arnica drops also to take, boy a spa would be nice (if we had one) but I can dream. Must go buy that lottery ticket.

Hi all, thanks for the ride today!
It was heaps of fun (first time I had been on the open road) and I look foward to doing it again sometime soon
    Chickadee, hope the arnica helps.

PS Squiggles is very well trained, after al lthose kms he has gone out and polishd my pipes. Without even being asked! :O
(I will have to bring him along next time as well methinks, if it induces such behaviour :sun: )

I asked my missus to polish my pipes after seeing this message, she hit me.

    .

Sorry to hear about your bin Chick. But no-one has asked the most important question: How is the jacket????

I was planning to come out today, been having withdrawals from KB rides, but it just wasnt my day. Still jetlagged/depressed about being back at work, and the night shifts they stuck me on just took it right out of me. I know Donor has the backbone to show up after working all hours, but I think if I'da come out today I might have joined you in the gravel!

Heal well, see you next time.

By the way, did anyone happen to take any pics at any particular point of the ride?
