Sounds like an eventful ride! I had to postpone Daisy's inaugural outing since my Granny isn't doing so well (a touch of the ol'cancer ), it always seems to happen when I commit to a personal outing ... stone the bloody crows! (Next time, I will do what I always do and just show up without planning to ... )

Chickadee, sorry to hear about your bin! Glad to hear you still have mojo and got right back into the saddle, wait till I get you the copy of "Long Way Round" , will make you think how "easier" you had it! . Kudos to those who did the right biker thing and helped out, as usual, Donor was never around when you needed him

I was watching my two little bikes from my window, I even went out, sat on them and went "brrm brrrm...ringa a dinga ding"

All those bikes and no piccies to show for it? Oh the humanity of it all!

El Dopa is graciously organising a a north shore 250 ride, to show us all some northside hospitality. It is for Sunday the 18th I beleive,

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Matey mate! You haven't ridden until you pootle over a big bridge! You mean you haven't pootled to parts North yet? Amazing! They got 'treads over that side - and I pootle to Devonport all the time at night to take in the view from the pier there!

On ya! Good to hear that you will be travelling new vistas!

I used to flat on the shore, it wasn't particuarly enjoyable.. so with clevedon/hunua as my backyard now I saw no reason to

But if everyone else is going to go, then who am I to not tag along! Maybe I'll see a different light while on 2 wheels this time.

    I'm gutted!

I agreed to play golf that weekend with me mate that I barely see these days.

Added to that, I haven't golfed in a couple of months, and am itching for a game.

But a ride, a ride to for'n parts nonetheless! I am mortified at the prospect of missing it.

So do I upset the apple cart, and drop out of the group of beer swilling golfers, thus impacting further on my plummeting handicap, or park Rosey for the day, and lose cred, respect, and another chance of taunting zeocen with a shiny bike again!

    Woe unto me!

Yeah right... like anyone has ever carded sub 100... no one has, ever... have they?

Oh shit, am I as bad as I think?

Curses for having friends who lie to me!

Ah screw it, at least I don't have to drive (unintentional pun!), thus more liberty at the 19th for me...

Wasn't there a recent post about ... "Trackdays ... because golf is for ..."

Nah, good on ya for developing interests outside of biking ... just don't blame me when you start thinking how good a motocross bike would do on the greens
