    Kawasaki Vulcan Sprocket & Jets

Where's the best place to get a front sprocket (17 tooth) and Carburettor jets (Keihin) for a Kawasaki Vulcan 800?

A motorcycle shop. No problem, glad to help.

Anyshop can get in aftermarket like JT sprockets, 17 is std after 97, same fitment as before.

Just with jets, do look at the factorypro.com website, do mention bigger Vulcans specifically for emulsion tube wear. Need to plough your way through a bit.

Local shops may or may not have the right sized jets and needles. If they don't here's a couple of options:

    http://www.zpower.com.au/
On the left of the page is a bike selector. Go Metric Cruiser Parts > Kawasaki > VN800 this will filter parts searches to those that will suit your machine.

    http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/
Similarly, this site allows you to filter parts searches to those that suit your bike, see at the bottom of the home page.

The Thunder Mfg jet kit on the Cruisercustomizing.com page seems to be better priced than that on Zpower.com.au

Couple that with a K&N KA-8095 filter, and you can make some great mods to your air intake and carb. I plan to do this once I've saved the money for these items.

Got the 17 tooth sprocket installed today, with the 38 rear that the previous owner had fitted, sounds quite good at motorway speeds now. I quite often tried to change up, thinking that there should have been another gear round there somewhere, now I have one there
