It's a different Max for sure. He looks way less stressed and put upon by the world these days. Having the chance to win a race or two must help, and there's nobody playing mind games with him in WSB, unlike GP where he had as much of a go at everybody else as Rossi did with him.
He is so smooth, still, isn't he? I reckon he'd be just as competitive on an 800 GP bike, given the right bike. The problem always was, he didn't seem to be prepared to ride around a setup or handling problem the way a lot of the others do, and was beaten before he started if the bike wasn't 'perfect'.
Good to see that WSB is more wide open this season.
