Its a deal ... was actually thinkin of popping into the Deck bar at the casino, they've got a mean TV room with Sky that I went to a couple of nights during the tour-de-France last year. Only problem is if there's a competing game of rugby or league on at the same time then viewing priorities will be pretty obvious. Plus it gets a bit pricey sitting in a bar for 2hrs or more (unless we sneak a few hip-flasks in )

    SKY Super Value

Channels available: SKY Sports 1, SKY 1/Nickelodeon*, SkyWatch Magazine.

    $8.40 per week/$36.42 per month.
    Try here
I have a decent aerial and can pick up all the UHF channels, so it was a consideration

the missus is quite happy to have a regular thing going on

mattmacaskill has a key to my house if anything comes ups and I can't join in

    rules of engagement:
    1. no cooking ... (or at least only BBQ food) .. so bring some cash to contribute to a food fund
    2. no drinking and driving ... if you fancy drinking more than 2 beers at my house .. bring a driver or pay $30 for a taxi
    3. ... I can't think of rule yet :P
    4. no smoking inside (obviously)

if the viewing time is bleak .. I can record.

Yesterday was fun ... got the kids taking drink orders and everything

for those of you who want a digital copy . .then a contribution of a blank DVD will probably suffice .. and some time (it takes about 15mins for every 1min of TV time to rip from the tivo . .so a 4 hour recording will take some time)

a gentle reminder of viewing times will help me a lot .. I'm sure warr will be good for this (Mr documentation )

    All sweet there Paul,
I bought a notebook today to record in one place- useful info ... Like k's when you put new tyres on, oil and filter changes etc!!
Thought it was unnessecarily difficult to find out when I put the last tyre on.
I think this stems from the cost! ... Like just trying to forget and hoping Clare doesnt dissaprove, and how can she if I dont tell her

You need to toughen up especially if you are a GC contender. 1am is when the partying can begin.
Mm point taken re the sleeping household tho.
Can push the bike down the drive and jump start out on the road!!
Your call tho. Not much point having to make it 2 nights if the rest of the viewers cant handle a late night

PS ... Happy to be taxi man back to Dinsdale if that suits...

I used it for 3 years. It was on in Europe but the internet backbone here just isn't up the the job. 2 years ago they prevented downloading of the videos on the motogp website (e.g. if you had a $hit connection previously you could have just downloaded the video and watched it later). I also got #4cked off because as a subscriber I shouldn't have to be looking at google adverts and I also kept requesting they didn't show the race results on the front page.

Now I'm on hillbilly internet (sorry...New Zealand's answer to broadband) and there's not a hope in hell it'll cope with streaming video of a reasonable resolution.

Fuggim all, I'm gonna bittorrent it...oh not I can't. Hillbilly internet has ridiculous data allowances. I guess I'll be begging people for the DVD.
