I'm currently getting 16 km/l on my daily commute. Rear tyre BT020 is flattening nicely in the middle after 7500 miles......should get another 1000 miles out of it (you can do the math to convert to kms).

Servicing is currently every 6-7 weeks....haven't needed to top the oil up between services.

Mine see's the light on at 150-170ks but is in need of a good dyno as have addded a few mods since buying which will need to be checked out to see how they have affected the fueling . Going by the plugs she is very close . New air intake has given the bike abit more volume so fueling will need a tweak to optimise running

Shit yeah, apply the same technique as a japper on these things bro.

    Wash it, and ride it.

I dont think they are anything like a Ducati mechanically, just from the same country. They seem to employ a more bulletproof design like a japper, and a superior finish like a Euro.

From my searchs on aprilia site before buying ours, there arn't really any major issues, been some random problems
Only really known problems with 04+, rear brake dispearing (but if you bleed it correctly according to manual, seams to fix the problem), and the simlar problem with the clutch, but i think some of these problems might come from a bit of lack of use. Both these are minor issues really.
and with 10km service intervals, with the 10k service cost about $300-$350 (what we were quoted) which is pretty close to the cost of two services on a jap 4

BTW, my gixxer did quite well at the hill climb, as did my ladys RSV, but only one of them won it
and a bloody good win it was you had that gixxer freaking flyin! In all fairness to the Aprilia's though (and yes.....I'm a confirmed Aprilia freak!!! lol).....fasted of the twins and BEARS (sorry Mr MV/Triumph/BEEEEEMA/Ducati) up the CLIFFHANGER?????.......ended up being a battle of RSV'S.........and I wern't gonna settle for 2nd place
