    Dragons Den - 05/03/07

For a start I dont know what the heck I was doing watching TV1, but anyway.....

There was a guy on there that got 150,000 pounds for his idea
Now if any of you are into dance type musice you will appreciate what this means..

When you purchase a mixed dance cd, the tracks roll into one another, if you try this yourself it ends up like a big mess, so he invented Mixalbum to fix that.

    Good on him
At MixAlbum.com you can download your favourite tracks unmixed (just like any other download service) as well as getting them mixed together:

Browse the site to find the tracks you want and add them to your TRACKLIST, just like adding items to a basket. When you've selected all your tracks click CHECKOUT.

All the tracks you purchase will be stored in MY TRACKS where you can download them unmixed. And as a World 1st feature unique to MixAlbum.com , to mix your tracks all you have to do is click the MIX button in the TRACKLIST.

You also have the option to add tracks already stored in MY TRACKS to the mix. All of your purchased tracks will be stored in MY TRACKS for when you need them and can be added to your TRACKLIST at any time to create new mixes. You will be able to use every track you buy in upto three of your mixes

Have a look at his website - http://www.mixalbum.com/main/C0?a=O-19
There is a demo feature there.

    Good on him

Yeah but what I want to know is whether this is a successful business or not. I think it was screened in the UK in October 2006 and the website was launched around then. He admitted there is a lot of competition - over 300 websites to legally download music - so even if he has a good idea, how does he attract custom? Is it working?

Will be interesting to see the result of this.

Another Dragon offered him the cash but that was on the basis that they market the software to the other sites and take royalties. That way there is no risk to them and get an income.

Dude decided to go with the other Dragon and market it as a complete website.

If you had the same offers in front of you which would you take?

And also there is nothing wrong with TV1 (only for Dragons Den )

The NZ version of Dragons Den was a bit of a joke from what I heard of it. I did hear last week though that an idea that was taken to them that they rubbished floating on the sharemarket with a value of 30 million..........they weren't so smart on that one

Actually I was thinking the other day what about asking them to invest in my idea of a stand over man!!!
I could turn up introduce myself pull a gun on them take their money and thank them for their time and investment an easy 750k.
