Hamilton, from Echuca via Bendigo, Avoca, Ararat & Halls Gap. Scenic once off the flat past Bendigo. Grampians marvellous. Nice biker roads too. Cloudy & cool.

Portland via Penola, Naracoorte, Kingston SE, Beachport, Mt Gambier & Nelson. Great SA coastal towns. Blew a gale all day and cold from Mt Gambier. Need an ale!

Torquay. Today we Great Ocean Roaded. Wow. Day started cold overcast and v windy but improved - enough for an aerial sortie of 11 Apostles etc.

Eddie got his FJR back about an hour ago with an extra 3584km on it. It's really hot in Melbourne today and we're of to be tourists. This is our last daily 160.

I'm going there in 2 weeks - hope the weather is better than that!

    The Hitchers return

We're back in Wellington, unpacked and catching up with laundry, downloading photos, etc.

A more complete version of our Victorian excursion will be posted soon...

Good to see you were up checking on the Taka's today. Don't worry, the corners are still plentiful. It got cold quick though eh?

Thanks to Jim2 for posting the "lite" version. A more extensive version of the Hitchers in Aus starts here:
