Almost makes Auckland look like somewhere you'd want to be!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

You can make Auckland a brilliant place to live. You just have to be smarter than the city.

You want Auckland pics, I was there twice last week staying in Takapuna and caught these shots from my 19th floor room at the Spencer.

They look fine until you see the traffic.

Like the traffic on the bridge is heavy in both directions at around 6pm - not much tidal flow. Its not pretty and where are the bikes?

... and how about this one I took earlier in the week when I had a room on the other side, you'd think it was a painting on the wall, but that's the window.

Cool pics from both Merv and Big Dave but i must say that AKL (IMO) is an ok place to visit for a day......the CBD fucken' smells. I lived there for 12 months about 6 years ago...once i got out of the place and headed 3/4 hour North, its amazing how my life changed for the better.and it smells nice here too...
Dont mean to bash AKL around the ears...its just my opinion....AKL looks great when its .....Still

I don't mind visiting either though the traffic is just crap, but then I'm sick of the wind in Wellington blowing for about 11 months on average a year - what to do??

Right sort of distance, but slightly wrong direction - you want to go North-east actually.

Would you believe it's right next to an airport? It's at the north end of the beach in the pic below with the Shag, which is at the foot of the Okiwi Airstrip, on Great Barrier Island.

A couple of other pics below, don't have that many here at work to share.
