So where's the media coverage? (apart from the sidecar crash)

So far there's nothing on any of the news sites, mnz's web site etc. Only mentions of the racing is this thread.

Where was the mention of the results on Powertools Motorsport on TV1 - ok, they'll have coverage next week.

mylaps has the results, but where's the press release? What happened to Chris Seaton?

Yeah, I thought he must be pretty active in the racing scene, as he was seriously wound up about it. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't disrespecting the chap, just curious about why he was so angry.

He dislocated his shoulder on Saturday and decided to give it a rest as he has big race in Aussie next weekend.

It happened right in front of us, not so much flew over the barrier but rolled over by himself to get off the side of the track. Glad to see them both walk away.

Thank god for that coz from contact he and the bike(triumph?) were airborn and it looked like a nasty landing - didn't see him roll over as I was out of view, just saw the paramedics go over the barriers. He's a very lucky guy.

Pretty spectacular alright, blue bike was a Ducati and the red one I think may have been either a Honda or Suzuki

My guess would be, he thought the person with the camera might be from some other organisation than the ones that they had a contract with for the filming of the event, hense his coment about people paying to be there????

I think it stinks but is also fantastic- Why- I believe that having Robbie take out the champs will lead to a bigger exsposure for our sport, we can now bill it as a true Trans-tasman championship!

This in turn will/can lead to a greater market exsposure as well as possibly bringing more Aussie/International riders to our series, which in turn can only lift the lever of NZ riders.

Yea it sucks that he has it, but I bet it makes Andrew a better rider fior next season.

After all that, Robbie did a brilliant job, and was a great guy, who rode his balls out, and did not ever give up or slow down, he was just so focused and confident.

Yup, if it's within the rules (which it is) then good on him. And as Shaun says it may just bring up the international exposure of what should be our national sport. Hmm, imagine that. Every young child dreams of being MotoGP champ/etc.

To see the final lap of the Superbike TT was phenominal. Robbie wanted THAT BAD, him and Charlton ran out of road on the second to last turn, Bugden using the grass, at max throttle, and STILL managing to stay ahead of Stroud.

Big respect to Brian Bernard and his setup. He's managing to do what Mike Pero did for the NZ V8s and is really lifting the bar in terms of what others need to aspire to.
