hey if the six pack and the dover are so sure that the cops are all tossers, let them go make there complaints...sounds to me like they gots a grudge cause they gone done something wrong and had to pay for it.........Tell ya what i think...if we hadn't been so into being disrespectful to the law and the fuzz, then we wouldn't be in this situation......at the moment the way we treat people for doing there job is disgusting ...so what makes you think you're going to get any respect back, you Earn Respect you don't Demand it.

Who'd be a cop?Ya wouldn't do it for the money?People brag about being surgeons/lawyers/IT tossers etc,but not cops! It's thankless.......if ya wanna get a thankyou, become a fireman.Ya have to be doing it for love(much like nurses and teachers)...the pay's shit, the demands are high......far as I'm concerned, they are the CHOSEN ONES(along with the aforementioned nurses and teachers).I speed,I know the rules,I smile,I pay the fines,I don't whinge about it.Those that whinge wouldn't do the job for shit!

So in brief you actually mean this...and I quote...'He is mostly right of course. Its the top brass and pollies who are fucking up the most'

Sixer, you are fine to have your opinion..that's cool...but like all companies it starts from the top and if things go wrong it is not always the staff's fault.

I am sure most cops joined force to do something good and some and are probably dissallusioned but they don't give up so there has to be respect for that.

You are in a top management position so are able to encourage change. Cops are not so privaleged....

Nd yes I am still stalking you

    A show of hands perhaps?

The problem in NZ is that there is only one Chief of Police wheras in the UK each County has it's own Chief of Police. I think I am right in saying that sometime last year the UK Police stood upto the Govt.........because they have the numbers too, however, in NZ that is just hard to do with 1 Chief of Police against the Govt............I mean the Police in Northumbria have decided not to have speed cameras which shows the difference.

The old safety in numbers thing? Makes no difference to have only one Chief of Police...with the support of his second echelon 'cronies', his voice with the govt is just as powerful.
The fact is that we have a flow down system here, sort of like this....

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

After my run in with mister plod and his attitude you can see why they have such a rep. I respect cops for the job they do and the shit they have to put up with, but although this cop didn't give me a ticket his attitude towards me right from the start sucked.

Quote "Do you have lots of money?" "No" " You must do as you want a ticket for travelling to close" what sort of comment is that??

I will start a separate thread once I get a copy of the video, that's right him pulling me over was videoed.

    cheers

Yup six pack i have a closed mind....hmmm, dont think so , more like im not singing the same song as you so im outta tune ....Right?

I see the shit that cops put up with and thats only a quarter of what they go through...I have had arseholes pull me up and give me a lecture till they find out im a volunteer then it s all good, and I dont hesitate to let them know that there people skills suck, usually there comeback is have a nice day and move along.

I dont complain I just tell em to sod off till they can talk to me as if im a human being.

you only have to give them your name and address with licence, yet people cant help winding up the decent ones.

If a cop pulls me over and talks to me then i talk back...if he lectures while frothing at the mouth then i kinda go deaf.

I had one stop me at the top of a hill on the way back from whitianga in my truck where i normally pull over to let traffic past...he walks up to all staunch like , i look down at him and say good morning....he goes...just seeing whats flapping around down by your door it was my tool box which hadnt shut properly, nothing could come out, but he shut it for me and told me to have a nice day and i let him go and carried on , thing is he was nice about it no lecture or nothing which if it had of happened in auckland i would have been threatend with insecure loading.

Mind you if spud, patrick,or scumdog hadda pulled me over , ive no doubt about what pepper spray and a good beating would have felt like :slap:

Actually he only gets about 33% of his tackle inside so I imagine that might be quite frustrating...
