    Older Newbee

Not exactly new to bikes have had my share over te previous years. Due to family commimitments etc etc etc bikes went by the way. Purchased a 2005 1200 bandit last week and it just feels so natural to be back on them again after too may years to mention. Can't wait to start racking up the miles.
Looking forward to meeting up with some new fellow riders.

Welcome aboard, and welcome back to bikes. Was it seeing all the bikes in town the other weekend that clinched the decision to get another one?

Yeah it was amazing seeing all the bikes at the March Hare Ralley the other weekend. I have been dooing some research and looking and test riding for the last couple of months. Finnaly found a bike that suited most of my needs.

I could'nt agree more.. I had a lapse of sanity back in the late 1970s - but found my way back in the 1980s ~

The intriguing part is that over here in Ozzie ~ the QLD government 'feel good brigade ' have decided to slide the 'mature rider category ' under the microscope ~ as~ the numbers of mature riders rises.. so unfortunately do the incident events. (Just how proportionally these figures are in relation to the increasing numbers is my thought!? )

But my additonal thought is that any of us (with a reasonable degree of experience) ~ can ride any bike short of a Big bang 500 GP bike! ~ with caution ~

But in short ~ enjoy .. ride ~ ride ~ and ride..

That's why I bought bottled water from the supermarket at the March Hare - I'd been warned
