    Bos taken her last ride.

Poor old Bo has taken her last ride. She was a faithful mutt and a good mate that we rescued from a bad home and a horrific accident.

As some of you are aware - she has been suffering and has generally been in decline for some time and acting upon advice from our Vet who has been wonderful - Bo passed away this evening in an act of mercy to end the indignities that life had heaped upon a pretty good mate. That dog an I have walk miles and bloody miles together and I'm probably alive today because of it. She faithfully guarded our house, never failed to alert us to visitors, chased rabbits with great enthusiasim and little success and although many of you have only seen her in her decline, we remember her in her flush of youth and I'd like to think she forgave us the final act.

Trust me - there are people I'd dispatch with less tears than my little mate.

RIP Bo - I hope theres a beach , rabbits to chase and sausages to steal where ever you are.

Sit there dog, and watch over me while I sleep. And in this time I now watch over you while you sleep. Sleep well dog and run free.

    RIP Bo.

Sounds like Bo was one lucky pooch!! & obviously lavished with loads of love & affection!! Tis far better to let her go peacefully, than carry on in pain though, so be gentle on yourselves ok!

Big from me, to you both!

    RIP Bo

Paul, my thoughts are with you and Vicki.

You will rarely find a friend so loyal as your faithful mutt. They really are man's best friend.

    Rest in peace Bo.

    with apologies to Rudyard Kipling.........

"Master, pity Thy servant! She is deaf and three parts blind
She cannot hear Thy Commandments. She cannot read Thy Mind.

Oh, leave her not to her loneliness nor make her that kitten's scorn.
She hath had no other God than Thee since the year that she was born.

Lord, look down on Thy Servant! Bad things have come to pass.
There is no heat in the midday sun, nor health in the wayside grass.

Her Bones are full of an old disease-her torments run and increase.
Lord, make haste with Thy Lightnings and grant her a quick release!"

    RIP Bo

You gave her the life she nearly didn't have - someone talleys up the points.
