Can I commission a work... called "The Tent" ?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Sharpie is a good black felt-pen, like a Vivid. I love Vivids and Sharpies! One day when I'm rich I'll have one of every colour.

Ahhh... Felt tips are too hard to use when doing this... The paper absurbs it too easily and its hard to get the shading and textured look...

They are truly amazing - keep at it - you could easily sell those!! Know how you feel after all the time and effort - very hard to let them go!

If you don't enlarge the shots, to me they look like licorice allsorts - yum! Very clever in any case.

LOL, that's what I was thinking about the middle one!

They are very very cool tho - especially when you do enlarge them. Well done!

But I'm glad you like them... not the norm aye... I've never seen anyone else who does anything similar...
Sorry - 'Sharpie' is a type of felt pen. Find and buy several - you'll never look back. Much favoured by graphic designers.
There are ultra fine ones to mediums that will do solid black with excellent control.

Architects and draftsmen used pen and ink texture rendering a lot in the pre digital age.
Different to your free flowing-ness - all structure and order - but also expressions in texture to enchant the eye.

And then you get right into it a set of Rotring pens will cost several hundy - but you have them for life ;-)

Nice artwork placidfemme, I appreciate the effort you put in as I doodle abit myself. You should get some prints of these and sell them. (T ME & KB etc ). Put the funds towards a new bike. I did a similar sort of thing way back but instead...... I had a large peice of cardboard with a jig saw pattern on it, and some pens and placed it in the loo at the local club rooms. After about 6 months we laminated it and raffled it and got 200 bucks.
