Yup, that Ducati had the goods. Like Rossi said he was setting a fast lap time, if not the fastest, but Stoner's Ducati just had the edge. Nicky who?

I'm happy for Stoner...but I'm fucking SPEWING too!
I predicted in Motu's post that Stoner would win it...and wandered off to my local TAB to put $100.00 on him....they were shut! He was paying $7.50.
    Pah....didn't need that $750.00 anyway!

Great to see that 'useless' guy Hopkins (Finn?) race to a fine fourth while still pretty bashed about from his 125 mph highside from testing there three weeks ago.....he'll win a race this year for sure. Ain't that right Finn?

Yamaha have got some work to do. Both the Honda and the Ducati were able to pass at will on the straights (more so the Ducati). They must be down about 20hp or so on the others. All Rossis hard work passing was simply undone next time they hit the main straight. How frustrating for him (can you tell I'm a Rossi fan?).

I felt sorry for Rossi, he was the better rider I felt, but he didn't have the tools to beat him, that ducati just took off down the starights, but that's how it goes.

I bet those Yamaha boys are gonna be working 24/7 to get her upto speed.

Both Stoners Ducati and Rossi's Yamaha had the perfect chassis setup but man is that Ducati fast in top speed.
It made the Yamaha look like it had the throttle closed. Then Rossi on the brakes at the end of the straight gave them all the learn.

    GREAT RACE!

I know! how many times did Dani pugface power by rossi then get smoked under braking. Ducati was hell fast. Kawasaki's new metalic green looked cool, pitty about the riders.
Poor form from Hayden. Dani and Marco where up there so there's no excusse.

    The Fur Factor

I wonder if Rossi will now ditch that furry 46 on his back and gain some extra top speed?
Quite a good race. The 125s and 250s also, though s'morning I can't really remember them.

What's Hayden's problem? Is he having trouble racing it like a 250 and retaining speed round the corners?

He's not the only motogp rider out there who hasn't come up throuth the 125/250 route, is he?

The Honda is made for a smaller rider, and Pedrosa is that rider. The weight distribution has been changed, there is less weight on the front wheel, and that doesn't suit Hayden....whether he can overcome that we don't know, but one thing we do know is that Honda isn't going to help him.He should of signed for Yamaha,Honda is screwing him.Honda is the only one who changed their engine configuration, everyone else just made the existing one smaller.Honda have some work to do,and Pedrosa did a good job getting his bike up with the front runners....no other Honda rider did.

The Ducati is fast in a straight line, but Rossi had no trouble with Stoner in the tighter section....on more twisty circuits the Ducati won't be so dominant.Great to see Stoner get the monkey off his back,he can finish races, and win too! With the Hondas dropping back the the Suzuki comes up,damn good ride by Hopkins.

What do you think's going to happen there? I assume it's between Honda altering the bike to suit him, or he will somehow become more comfy on this bike.
I wonder if he's not so suited to the race-style require of these bikes - oops I've already said that somewhere else (carries on regardless...) - and he might yet devlop a better racing technique.

well Europe is more speed than Quatar he didnt look good on the tight corners but seemed fine on the exit of the long right hander onto the frotn straight so he seems to be doing shit on the slow stuff,

Honda might do minor settings for him like bars and feet position but wont change the chassis for him I dont think Dani did well they will be setting the bike to make Dani do even better. Nicky is just a number in the team he won them a title and they dont care if Dani looks good they will give him everythign to win this year

I was watching the 20 min free session about 4hrs before the race when Dani dropped the bike in turn one on his first lap. He had one hand on the bars and was looking over his shoulder as Rossi rode past, tipped it in a little more and then he was on his arse! Probably only going about 40-50km/h. He couldn't pick the bike up due to his size. The Honda executives looked not too happy! Poor bastard.
