    Yammy SH50A - Speed demon!

Well ok it's not... yet. But it might be if I can get it going. I know nothing about scooters, let alone this one. Anyone wanna point me the direction I should be pointed in?

Near as I can figure it's a two stroke, twist and go type thing. I rescued it from X*Air - it was looped into the lagoon. It's still warranted and registered 'til May so I suppose it's all good.

I've drained the fluids and got the batter on the charger so we'll see how bad it is soon hopefully...
Tried searching (here) without success for a manual or anything - any tips?

Just the usual which it sounds like you have done already...

Drain Tank & Carbs, Dry & refil
Drain 2 stroke, Dry & refill
    Replace final gear oil
    Dry and re-oil airfilter

Remember to hold the brake on, some scooters wont start unless the brake is on. Good luck !

Cool. Have it all stripped down and draining/drying and the neighbour has the battery on the charger. I have found a little bit of info for them and I'll print it all up when I get to work.

Don't forget to turn it over with the spark plug out first. If it stopped with the exhaust port open it could have water in it.

and if there's water in the cylinder there's likely water in the crankcase via the transfer ports or carb. Pulling the barrel is simple enough on a 2T.
