Folks, does anybody have any experience with/favorite electroplating company?
What would be a normal charge for chroming two shock absorber casings?
Thanks!

"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
Forlong and Maisey in Te Rapa did some chroming for me a few years ago. I remember it seemed fairly reasonable price wise, and they did a good job

Advanced electroplating in Ellis Street Hamilton.
They are so popular that they dont need to advertise. They get work from all over NZ.
I have had several jobs done there and recommend them highly. I dont know how their prices compare.
A few years back they chromed most of a car (or that is what it seemed like) The chroming cost more than the car. It was featured in a NZ motoring mag.
The service is good, I had a job done (nickel plated wheel nuts for a vintage Vespa) over a year later I took some tuba mouthpieces to be silver plated and the lady greeted me by my name. Amazing memory.
