    Cheers for the ride George.

I stopped on the Patangata straight because I forgot to tuck my shirt in and my back was freezing.

Right about when I stopped that bloke on the Aprilia must of been doing over 250 when he passed me.
Weird dude. I've seen him 3 times, have tried to make conversation and he just grunts back or does'nt want to know.
Some guys who ride solo can be a bit different.

I saw you lean over the tank and thought you were going to wind it so I did too, then buttoned off, looked in my mirror, saw no one, pulled up and in those few secs the Aprilia dude flew past within feet of me stationary.
What a glorious noise it was too!

Man I like those bikes. Definately in the future plans me thinks.

    Cheers for the chips.

I have a set of front disks here from a TL. I had them on my other gixxer. One is bent but the other should be ok. You would need to get them tested to make sure they are straight. I am sure 5 star could test them for you and if one is ok you can have it. Let me know what you want to do.

Any consolation John I bent one on the track. Not on this bike but the red one. We can test the ones on your Gixxer by lifting the front and testing for run out. If you want. I hope to get this Gixxer going today and come in as I have a call to make then I could come around and have a look at your bike. You home today?

You should feel a judder under braking.

Cheers Steve - that would be awesome. I don't know how bad it is, but the right side disc stays hot and it definitely 'waggles' when rotated. It appears that the clicking sound is the pads moving inside the caliper. Strangely, I have not noticed any pulse through the lever.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah very weird, since there is no other tell tale signs of warpage I guess that may have happened at the track day....

John, if you'd like to properly test for warpage i can bring my dial gauge around and we an measure it that way, however i think the 2mm or so we roughly got with the steel rule gives a good inication that something not quite right.

Your Dad is here at the mo, Pat. Disc is definitely warped, i don't think we need to test that any further.

Yeah, all good! Dan was a little under the weather...lack of hydration after the Auck cheesecutter ride, but he flicked the keys to Zac for a squirt.
Zac liked it better than the GSXR750 but not as much as the Busa, I think.
He is keen to do the Moto TT trackday, Dan has promised him a few laps on it!

Well, I think Wasp27 must have worked on the railways back in the days of steam. He is an excellent brakeman. Thanks heaps big guy.
Steve's TL discs were both warped but with some clever shim work under the carrier plate, he got the runout to about 10thou. Tested - no excessive drag, no clicking, no shudder, no pulse...just smooth feeling brakes

So who else is heading to Welly for the CC ride?
Any plans in place yet, or just see how things go

I might stay over and book my bike in for a service on the Monday, before the warranty runs out

    Cheers Scott
